Chapter 01
What a valid licence and being 21 actually gets you
Three requirements and no fourth one hiding behind them. Every driver holds a valid driver's licence, every driver is at least 21, and every driver carries at least minimum liability insurance. Bring those and the Impala is rentable.
We say this plainly because the question we field most often is from somebody who has already been turned down elsewhere, usually over a credit check they were not expecting. That is not the test here. The test is the licence, the age, and the insurance.

Paying without a major credit card
A credit card works. So does a debit card. So does a cash deposit, if you live locally. That last one is the reason a lot of Lafayette drivers end up at this counter rather than at the airport desks.
We will tell you the deposit on the phone before you drive over, so there is no surprise at the desk and no wasted trip to Jefferson Street.
Chapter 03
Same-day pickup off Jefferson Street
Same-day is normal here. If the Impala is on the lot when you call, it is usually yours that day. If it is out, we will say so on the phone rather than let you make the drive and find out in person.
We are open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed at weekends, so a Friday call is worth making early if you need the car for a Saturday.
