9 to 14 seats

Passenger vans

A 14-passenger Chevy van and a 9-passenger Ford Expedition, for the trips where everybody genuinely has to arrive together.

Chapter 01

Count the seats before you count the heads

A 14-passenger van seats fourteen including the driver, and a 9-passenger Expedition seats nine the same way. Groups routinely book one seat short because they counted the passengers and forgot to count whoever is driving them.

Tell us the real number of bodies on the phone and we will tell you which of the two fits. If the group is smaller than nine, the Chrysler minivan or the Chevy Suburban is usually the better and cheaper answer.

What we need from the driver

The requirements do not change because the vehicle is bigger: a valid licence, 21 or over, and minimum liability insurance. We are not going to invent an extra qualification on this page that we do not actually ask for at the counter.

If you have never driven a 14-passenger van before, say so when you collect it. It is longer and taller than anything you drive daily, and two minutes of conversation in the lot is worth more than reading about it here.

Chapter 03

Booking a group vehicle ahead of a Lafayette weekend

We hold one 14-passenger van and one 9-passenger Expedition. That is the whole group fleet, so on a weekend with a wedding, a tournament or a festival in town, they go out first and they go out early.

If your date is fixed, call as soon as the date is fixed. We would far rather tell you in advance that it is already spoken for than have you find out the week before.

Group vehicles go out fastest. Call ahead of the weekend you need one.
